Bee House Dripper

Sometimes there’s nothing quite as satisfying as control, and nothing gives you more control over the flow rate of your coffee as a Pour Over. We’ve found the Bee House Drippers perfect for getting a lighter-bodied, crystal clear cup of any of our single- origins, but by increasing or decreasing the speed of your pour you can easily get a completely different feeling and tasting cup.

Step 1

Heat water

to 200˚ F, or about 30 seconds off the boil.

Step 2

Weigh out

22 grams of coffee.

Step 3

Grind

at medium, or about the same level as for an auto-drip machine.

Step 4

Place #2 paper filter

in the dripper, and rinse it with hot water. This will ensure that you don’t get any papery taste in your coffee while also pre-heating the dripper.

Step 5

Place ground coffee

in the dripper.

Step 6

Place dripper

on top of the cup.

Step 7

Pour enough water

just to wet all the grinds.

Step 8

Wait 30 seconds

allowing the coffee to bloom, or release some of its gases.

Step 9

Pour rest of water

(you’ll be using 12oz or 340g in total) in a circular motion starting in the center and going out, making sure to evenly soak the grinds.

Step 10

Watch

as your coffee drips through, hopefully in around 4 minutes. If it goes too fast, try pouring slower next time. If it goes too slow, try pouring faster.
