Old Friends

October 9, 2013

Our single-origin coffee menu will be changing in around two weeks. This is always an exciting time, but it’s also a bittersweet one. Let’s wish our current coffees a fond farewell as we drink and prepare our last few cups:

Borboya, you’re like diving head first into a basket of fresh peaches then coming back up for an iced tea with a giant, expertly-peeled lemon twist. I’m going to miss you.

Los Lirios, you’re so well-balanced you could be a gymnast. You taste so much like delicious honey I could see Winnie the Pooh somehow getting his head stuck in a cup of you. I’m going to miss you.

La Batista Geisha, you promised so much and delivered all of it and more. You lived up to the hype like a new Alfonso Cuarón movie, like Mike Trout, like a new Beyonce single. I’m going to miss you.

San Juan, I’ve actually been drinking more of you than any other coffee as the menu gets set to change. I’ve spilled some of you on my new jean jacket and that seems somehow fitting. I’m going to miss you.

But don’t be sad! We’ve got new, exciting coffees on the way and boy, oh boy are they exciting!
