Maybe this isn’t quite as exciting as our new espresso machine being built or our first roaster arriving, but we’re still pretty excited (are you sensing a common theme to this blog recently?). We’ve been thinking about getting custom tampers for a while and, well, a new shop opening really does turn out to be a great opportunity to check a bunch of things off the list. We got these from the great Reg Barber, and they’re customized not only with our logo, but with the exact (and I do mean exact) dimensions of our portafilter baskets (so in addition to looking cool, they’re actually another small step to make our coffee as good as we can get it). If that wasn’t exciting enough, we will have some of these available for purchase, so you home barista daredevils can take a little of the shop home with you.
