Califia x Gregorys Almond Milk Only Throwdown
We teamed up with our friends at Califia Farms to throw a Califia Barista Blend 'almond milk only' latte art throwdown. A “latte art throwdown”, an event coined in the specialty coffee community simply defined, is a head-to-head competition where baristas free-pour lattes and are judged based on technical and aesthetic criteria. Each round two baristas compete and the winner moves on to the next round until there is one final winner. Throwdowns are always exciting, action-packed and challenging for our team, and this one did not disappoint.
This throwdown was open to the public and sign-up was FREE. There was an incredible cash win of $500 to the night's winner + MORE swag and prizes. Sign-ups began at 8 pm and filled quickly.
There was a packed house at our 327 Park Ave South location with baristas from varying specialty shops in the New York City area! As usual, we had beautiful pours, beer, and the nights signature coffee cocktails.
